Controller
$130-160K plus bonus
Qualified candidates will have a thorough knowledge of financial accounting and management accounting, consistent with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and company practices in a manufacturing setting. Inventory experience is required, cost accounting is preferred.
- Systems experience to include MS Dynamics software – NAV highly preferred but ok with GP (Great Plains), SL, AX, or Dynamics 365
Job Summary & Essential Functions:
The Controller will be one of the primary business partners to the Vice President and will lead the finance function for multiple Performance Centers. The Controller will provide analysis and robust challenges to support the Group and Performance Center decision making process with a focus on value creation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Timely and accurate processing of transactions and closing the books in an effective manner in accordance with GAAP and corporate policies.
- Ability to deal effectively with the technical accounting issues that arise from changes in the business.
- Facilitate and foster a strong control environment in alignment with the SOX risk control matrices.
- Manage local issues within the Controller’s span of influence and support companywide issues as a team member.
- Support and develop critical financial and non-financial KPIs at the value stream level
- Streamline reporting (electronically), with analytical tools
- Provide insightful value added analysis and guidance for key decision making.
- Understand and support flawless execution of controls, and continuously improve business processes through standard work and automation with technology.
- Drive operational information systems efficiency across the Group.
- Partner with Leadership and Performance Center management team to provide timely and accurate Monthly Forecasts
- Partner with Leadership and Performance Center management team in preparation of the Annual and Long Range Plan
- Provide monthly analysis on Plan / Budget variances
- Focus on building a team with complimentary skills that are process focused
- Ability to partner with HR to design, map out and develop their team
- Participate in cross functional development

- Thorough knowledge of financial accounting, Cost accounting and Management accounting, consistent with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and company practices.
- Experienced with financial audits, budget and forecasting preparation and management
- Knowledge of manufacturing terminology used in accounting activities is beneficial
- Demonstrated analytical problem solving ability
- People skills- customer oriented, positive attitude, team participation, problem solver.
- Familiar with financial reporting associated with a manufacturing environment producing multiple product types and quantities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with people at all levels and functions inside and outside the company.

Required Experience/Education/Training/Certifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the outlined experience level, education, training, minimum years of experience, product or industry knowledge plus any certifications in order to be considered.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred
- 6+ years of accounting experience with significant exposure to a manufacturing environment.
